This is the second in a series of short videos explaining how to use some of the different blend modes in Procreate.

Today we’re looking at the multiply blend mode.

How does the Multiply Blend Mode Work?

Multiply takes the information from the base layer and multiplies it by the blend colour. You’ll always get a darker colour with multiply. Blending with black will always give black, white will have no effect and all. Colours in between will have varying effects depending on how light or dark they are.

How to add a paper texture in Procreate with the multiply blend mode

You’ll often see the multiply blend mode used for shadows and shading. Today, I want to show you how I use it to add paper texture overlays to my designs in Procreate.
