This week I’m making a flower pattern in Procreate using my favourite diamond repeat method! I’d already drawn one similar to this for my portfolio, but it actually ended up being really different! In the original, I hadn’t joined up all the vines with each other. which is a thing I did in this one. (Not so easy on a diamond repeat by the way!!) This week’s pattern took me about 45 mins from start to finish.

Flower Pattern in Procreate Time Lapse: Video

This week I'm making a flower pattern in Procreate using my favourite diamond repeat method! I'd already drawn one similar to this for my portfolio, but it actually ended up being really different! In the original, I hadn't joined up all the vines with each other. which is a thing I did in this one. (Not so easy on a diamond repeat by the way!!) This week's pattern took me about 45 mins from start to finish.

I love making patterns like this in Procreate using a diamond repeat. In my normal workflow I export the pattern to Photoshop as a PSD and then build it out using an automation I created to convert it to a smart object and then repeat around the canvas in the same way as in Procreate. It’s a much more flexible (not to mention fast!) way of doing it!

If you want to find out more about making seamless patterns in Procreate then check out my Skillshare classes on surface pattern design. If you want to see time lapses like this every week then don’t forget to subscribe over on my YouTube channel.

Have fun, stay creative and I will see you next time!
