Here are two quick and easy ways to expand your collections for spoonflower, especially if you’re looking to fill those 42 squares on that cheater quilt for the lowest cost per swatch when ordering samples!

The first easy option is just to add different background colour options. Pick several colours that all work with your collection and include these as alternate colour ways.

The second option is to upload the same tile twice so you can offer a small and large scale option. I set the scale of all my designs to a 5.25” repeat for the proof so I can see a full repeat in the swatch, so if you do this too, then just be sure to make a note of the intended final scale in the design name and then don’t forget to correct the scale before you make it available for sale!

This way you should easily be able to fill a 42 square cheater quilt from just a few original designs and get the most bang for your buck when ordering swatches!
